I am a late forties kayak racer. My goal is to compete at the World Masters Games in Turin, Italy in 2013. I will be racing in ICF sprint kayaks. This blog will be my training diary for the next 4 yrs. I use a variety of running, weights, and cross training to hopefully become a better kayaker.

Wow, 20 km on Saturday and another hour on Sunday...careful not to tire yourself out prior to the start of the training camp!!!

Speaking as someone with too much experience of overdoing things at times.
The Saturday paddle is part of my base training. I am increasing the amount every week.
The 60 minute paddle on Sunday is just a loosen up thing, from the 3 hrs of driving to Renton.
Just a nice easy paddle around to check out the area.
